The Happy Kids Farm Shop opened its doors on August 7th, 2025.
Our regular operating hours for the shop are
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
Farm Shop Conveniences
We opened our farm shop mainly as a pickup location for our customers purchasing our bulk meat (Beef and Pork) packages. The shop's design was laid out to accommodate multiple freezers and meat storage. As we worked with the county and our builder, we soon realized that we could modify the layout to accommodate a Farm Shop where customers could visit, browse our meat selections, and purchase individual cuts of meat or bulk meat packages.
Hence, the shop is now open 3 days per week, allowing customers to visit and purchase beef and pork to take home with them.
We have a large selection of beef and pork products, in standard cuts, available for purchase. All the products are pre-frozen and maintained within our freezers. However, the freezers have glass doors, which makes it easy for customers to shop.
In addition to our great beef and pork meat selections. We also have additional items that are grown or produced here on the farm.
Available Items include
- Individual Beef cuts ( as in burger, steaks, roasts, ribs, briskets, etc. )
- Individual Pork cuts ( as in pork chops, bacon, sausage, hams, etc. )
- Jams and Jellies ( a selection of homemade jams and jellies, flavors as the season dictates )
- Breads ( a selection of homemade breads and biscuits )
- Honey ( in-season, our hives are less than a year old )
- Gifts and Toys ( a selection of handmade “crocheted” gift and toy items )
- Vegetables ( in-season )

Farm Shop Location
The Happy Kids Farm Shop is located on our farm and is situated centrally to Lawrence, Ottawa, and Baldwin City, KS, within a short 20-minute drive.
