Work has been well underway now that the weather has broken, providing us with plenty of sunshine and allowing us to complete all the outside work on the Happy Kids Farm Shop.

We anticipate being open starting the week of July 21st, 2025, and hope to have full freezer loads of farm-fresh products available for purchase. We'll be announcing some fantastic burger specials before our opening date, so sign up for our newsletter to stay informed about our announcements.
Although the weather has been wet over the last few weeks, we have not been sitting idly by, waiting for the shop to open. There is always something around the farm to focus our attention on, such as adding new animals to the farm.
New Additions to the Farm
More Chickens and Guineas
We have a few new additions to the farm that we want to introduce to you. Let's start by introducing you to our latest additions, which have joined our flock of chickens.
We recently added some new baby chicks to our flock. The baby chicks are an assortment of
- Rainbow assorted hens
- Lavender Guinea hens
- Purple Guinea hens
These additional 25 baby chicks will grow our flock to 40 chickens and guinea hens.
And We've Got More Goats!
We want to welcome and introduce you to the latest additions to the farm's goat herd. Meet Sky and Squeaky, these two girls were bottle babies. We got them when they were just 4 weeks old and started by bottle-feeding them four times a day.
In addition to the girls, we also want to introduce you to Lennie and Squiggy!
Lennie and Squiggy are young bucklings that we got when they were about 8 weeks old. We built them a new barn, and they seem to be quite happy with it and the adjoining pasture area.
Lennie, Squiggy, Sky, and Squeaky, along with Laverne and Shirlee, will make up our herd's future parents. They are all part of the Fainting and Nigerian Dwarf goat breeds. We love their markings and expect them to have some adorable offspring in the years to come.
Other Miscellaneous Work
There's always something happening here at the Happy Kids Farm. Whether it's day-to-day farm work or something special that needs attention. We keep pretty busy with it all.
Like the unexpected Goat Barn that was not on our short-term goal list, but now that it is 85% complete, we're glad we went ahead with building it.
And then there are all the trails we have around the farm, keeping them maintained for our visitors is also a lot of work!
Yes, there is always something happening here at Happy Kids Farm.
Make your plans now to bring your family out for a tour, meet our animals, and enjoy the natural surroundings. Online booking of family farm tours is coming soon!
